- Altesse Try, designed by Jean Francois Porchez in 2011-2021, is a French batarde, more often called Anglaise, influenced by the masters of copperplate engraving of the 19th and 20th century. Altesse is draw in various optical sizes featuring different contrast and x-height. Freed from the contraints of metal type, the Altesse Pro version allows you to rediscover the pleasure of automated calligraphy through its many numerous OpenType features. The Try-out version include a minimal glyph set with several glyphs swapped from one position to another. For improved OpenType and language support, check out the pro version at typofonderie.com
