- Designed for the International Typeface Corporation in 1979 by Edward Benguiat. Based on Art Nouveau lettering styles and the letter shapes of an earlier typeface by the same designer, ITC Benguiat (1977); the Gothic version is a monoline sans serif design. Rounded stroke endings give the face an overall softness in appearance. For use in advertising and display typography. Cyrillic version was developed at ParaType (ParaGraph) in 199497 by Alexander Tarbeev.
