- Designed in 2016 by Brian Willson of Three Islands Press, Geographica is an interpretation of the neat hand-lettered place names and peripheral text on the maps of 18th century English engraver Thomas Jefferys, Geographer to King George III. This legible serif text-type family combines a hand-drawn warmth with a distinctly historical flair. Geographica comprises roman, italic, bold, and bold italic styles, along with two kindred fonts that simulate the roughly inked source materials. With its long serifs and ample x-height, Geographica will add classic elegance to blocks of text or display type, whether on paper or screen. Comes also with a slew of unique cartographic ornaments.
