‘Penrose Geometric’ is an “Impossible" Display, 4D Paradox Perspective Typeface! Inspiration:‘Penrose Geometric’ was inspired by the work of the father of “Impossible Figures” Swedish artist Oscar Reutersvärd which invented the ▲ ‘Penrose Triangle’ in 1934 and of course, an homage to M.C Escher which mastered the same archetype to another level, plus Sir Roger Penrose and his father Lionel Penrose, who popularized this kind of Optical Illusions, in the 50’s, with an article for a British Psychology Journal, describing this as “The impossibility in its purest form” … & Which unanimously would be impossible to build as it forms “tricky” isometric perspective that seems impossible to realize or reproduce in 3 Dimensions...History:The first version of this font characters was an Academic Alphabet project presented in 2012 at Typography class in college, it was rewarded with A+ Grade and my Professor encouraged me to make a Real Typeface and came later as a trial in 3 styles. This was my first font-family from 2013.*The 2013 Pre-Version of the font-family will still be relaunched again separately as a beta Font. 2’s version was upgraded in 2018 and relaunched by MMC-TypEngine in 2021. The current Penrose Geometric version is a Mix-Case type with Alternate styles, while the pre-version Was all High-caps. it also included card-suites and more styles for layer type setting and Chromatic combinations Possibilities.Tip:As A Mix-case Font, typing as a script text with lowercases all along the sentences can look “Funny”, in case of Titling usage, you may set text to uppercase, Capitalize and/ or mix both cases to get a more impactful result, or try further to type only with Uppercases and replace caps occasionally.Upgrade Note:The New 2.99 Reedition version improved and magnified optical Size, rescaled in new measure, and improved Regular (halftone) styles outline, added new inedited ‘outline Bold’ styles to the font-family.
